JBM Salutes the US Army Warrant Officer Corps on their 100th Birthday

July 9, 2018: Today, the US Army’s Warrant Officers celebrate their 100th Birthday. The official birthday of the Army Warrant Officer Corps is July 9, 1918 when an act of Congress established the Army Mine Planter Service as part of the Coast Artillery Corps. Since that time, Army Warrant Officers have served their nation with distinction. In fact, three Warrant Officers received the Congressional Medal of Honor for their heroic actions in combat in the Republic of Vietnam. JBM is also honored to count former Army Warrant Officers among its ranks. Each perform vital roles that require the unique blend of leadership and technical prowess– exactly the traits typified by the unique distinction they earned while serving in the Army. Therefore, we wish all US Army Warrant Officers, past and present, a very Happy Birthday!
